Application Procedure : M.Tech. Program Autumn 2017-18

Master of Technology in Computer Science

The applicants must fill up the online application form.  A system generated PDF of application form will be sent to applicant's email account.  Application fees (non refundable) for MTech program is INR 500.

Check list of items before proceeding with the  online application form:
  1. Demand draft (DD) of INR 500, in the name of Indian Institute of Information Technology, Vadodara payable at Gandhinagar.
  2. GATE score card/Details about GATE score
  3. Check eligibility
  4. Valid Email account and contact number
  5. Applicant will be allowed to submit the form only once, no editing or changes will be allowed once the form is submitted.
The candidate is required to send a signed copy of the PDF and the DD to the address given below. (Candidates are advised to write their name and the program applied for at the back side of the DD. The institute takes no responsibility for loss of DD in transit.)

Admission to the MTech program may be made directly based on the performance in the GATE and overall academic record of the candidates. In addition, some of the candidates may also be called for written tests and/or interviews.

The selected candidates who have completed all the examinations before the date of registration but are unable to produce the certificate as proof of having passed and secured the minimum specified qualifying marks, may be considered for provisional admission. However, if admitted provisionally, they will be required to produce the evidence of their having passed the qualifying degree examination with minimum specified marks before the beginning date of the second mid-semester examination as specified in the academic calendar, failing which the admission shall be cancelled.

On approval by the Chairman of the Academic Council, the Registrar will issue admission letters to the candidates. Candidates will be required to deposit the prescribed fee on or before the specified date.

In case a candidate does not accept the offer by paying the prescribed fee by the specified date, the offer of admission may stand withdrawn, and the admission be offered to a candidate on the waiting list, if any, in order of merit.

The offer of admission may also stand withdrawn if the candidate who has accepted the offer fails to register by the date for late registration.
